If you’re looking for a dating site that promises the moon and stars, BlackFling is not it. It claims to be “the ultimate online destination for African American singles seeking love, romance or just plain fun!” But unfortunately, this isn’t exactly what I found when reviewing its features.
For starters, free members have limited access to the website’s features – they can only view profiles and send flirts but cannot message other users directly unless they upgrade their membership. This means that if you’re hoping to find someone special on BlackFling without paying anything upfront then forget about it – your chances are slim at best! And even after upgrading your account there are still restrictions in place; such as being unable to read messages from premium members until you’ve upgraded yourself too (which of course costs more money). So much for finding true love…or any kind of connection really. On top of all this basic stuff which every decent dating site should offer anyway (and usually does), there aren’t many unique features here either – no video chat option like some other sites provide nor do they have an app version available yet so mobile users will need to make do with using their web browser instead…not ideal by any stretch of the imagination! The search filters also seem quite limited compared with others out there meaning less potential matches overall too sadly enough…so yeah….not great news all round really!!

Well, if you’re looking for a safe and secure dating app, BlackFling isn’t the one. It’s not even close! I’m sure it has its perks but when it comes to safety and security measures – let’s just say there are better options out there.
For starters, they don’t have any verification process in place which means anyone can create an account without having to prove their identity or age. This is obviously a huge red flag since this opens up the possibility of bots or fake accounts infiltrating the platform with malicious intent. Plus, no two-step authentication option available either so that’s another big issue right off the bat!
And then we come to photos; does BlackFling manually review all user submitted images? Unfortunately not – meaning your chances of running into someone who’s using old/fake pictures increases significantly (not cool). Not only that but their privacy policy also leaves much to be desired as far as protecting users’ data goes; something else worth considering before signing up here…
Bottom line: If safety and security is what you’re after then look elsewhere because BlackFling simply doesn’t cut it on those fronts – sorry folks!
If you’re looking for support from BlackFling, don’t hold your breath. It seems like they have zero interest in actually helping their users out. I tried to get some help a couple of times and it was an absolute joke – either no response at all or something that didn’t even come close to being helpful.
